Dopo aver lasciato l'agenzia che l'ha seguita fino ad oggi, Brit ha deciso di essere seguita dalla Creative Artists Agency, agenzia più piccola della precedente, ma forse più attenta alla carriera della cantante.
Il posto come giudice ad X Factor è stato definitivamente abbandonato e a darne la conferma la stessa cantante tramite un comunicato ufficiale
“I’ve made the very difficult decision not to return for another season. I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens, but it’s time for me to get back in the studio, watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can’t wait to get back out there and do what I love most"
Come anche scritto nel comunicato, Britney è tornata in studio e, secondo vari rumors, è molto presa e concentrata da questo nuovo progetto musicale.
Ultima novità sul mondo Spears è la fine della storia d'amore con Jason Trawick (visto nel video di Criminal in atteggiamenti piuttosto intimi con Britney). La storia durava da 3 anni, c'era stato anche un fidanzamento ufficiale che lasciava presupporre a un matrimonio che però non avverrà. I due hanno comunque affermato di essere rimasti in buoni rapporti.
